LLC Haskoning was commissioned to prepare the technological scheme for cargo handling at the marine terminal and the terminal concept plan layout.

United Metallurgical Company plans to develop a marine terminal for the export of finished steel products and import of steel sheet and plates at Ust-Luga Port.

It is intended that the new marine terminal for export and import of steel will have a throughput capacity of at least 2.05 million tonnes of finished steel products (steel pipes, sections, sheets, plates/slabs and coils) per year. The total area of the site is 21.3 hectares of which about 14 hectares will be land reclaimed from the sea.
