Royal Haskoning was contracted by one of the large Ukranian Oil & Gas Company to perform a Phase I Environmental, Health and Safety Due Diligence Assessment (EHS DD) of the Petroleum  Storage Depot located in Ukraine.

The aim of the assessment was to assess the status of compliance with national relevant EHS requirements as well as requirements of the European Union and World Bank Group, and to evaluate the actual and potential environmental, health and safety risks associated

with past and current operations at the subject site.

The assessment focused on the environmental, health and safety aspects of the site and  operations, and consisted of a visit of subject site areas, surrounding areas and the collection and review of relevant documents and data.

The following ket tasks were inplemented:

Analysis of existing health, safety and environmental management system;

Assessment of compliance of the Company’s operations with current Ukrainian health, safety and environmental legislation;

  •  

Assessment of compliance of the Company’s operations with current European Union and World Bank Group relevant standards;

  •  

Identification of liabilities and major risks associated with shortcomings of Company’s health, safety and environmental performance;

Development of EHS and Technical upgrade action plan.
