Royal Haskoning conducted HSE supervision and training during dredging of a pipe trench by dredging company Van Oord ACZ on behalf of Nippon Steel Neftegazstroy Ltd (NSNL) and Exxon Neftegas Limited – Sakhalin I Project.

Key responsibilities included:

Ensure commitment of project and Contractor Management Teams to follow project strategies, philosophies and procedures so as to successfully execute. Ensure that Exxon/NSNL corporate guidelines, shareholder expectations and project HSE policies are reflected;

Maintain awareness of and promote, project goals in respect of HSE including participation in regular audit activities;

Day-to-Day HSE advisory support – implementation of Environmental Management System; site inspections; reporting; training of the local environmentalists;

Promote and support in obtaining of air emission permits, waste handling permits for Van Oord ACZ in the framework of Sakhalin I Project EPC2.
