Zarubino is a private port owned by TransGroup in the far east of Russia adjacent to the border with China and North Korea.  It is planned to develop on a build, operate and own (BOO) basis a container terminal at the existing port which currently handles import frozen food, Ro-Ro vehicles, scrap metal and other general cargo.  The container terminal will be used for the import of containers by sea from the Pacific region and transhipment by rail to destinations in the Russian Federation.  The terminal may also be used for the export of manufactured goods from the adjacent northern region of China.

The scope of work for preparing the business plan includes:

  • Engineering surveys,
  • Trade forecasts,
  • Concept plan,
  • Business model,
  • Financial model,
  • Preparation of heads of terms for the development agreement.
